A Plant and Animal Heaven

I was invited to one of my friends house for lunch.

We also enjoyed doing origami.

She is from Hungary now lives such a beautiful place where many plants and animals grow and run around.

She made a yummy Hungarian dish called "Lecso".
Mahalo for the delicious lunch!

Have you ever noticed how a pineapple grows?

It is amazing how a juicy yellow fruit comes out!

Here is a beautiful hibiscus flower.

A white one is a Hawai'i's offical flower.

She has a friendly cat. He sleeps comfortably at the sofa.

She is an animal lover and really cares of animals.
She self-educates on animal mistreatments happened all around and tries to be a voice for animals who cannot speak our languages.

She used to work at zoo in Hungary to try to make the captured animals comfortable.
She observed them and gave them her heart.

We need to respect animals!

Intorducing Hilo

I have much free time now, so some of you notice that I have been posting here busily......

I would like to introduce Hilo where my father and I live.

Hilo has many 'ua (rain) and is in a tropical zone.

Hilo is basically greens.

This photo show a free public swimming pool center.

It is well managed.

At the Hilo bay, paddlers catch waves when the wave becomes bigger enough for them.

I tried paddling at a river (no wave catching), and it was fun!!
People can rent the paddling board for $20 per hour.

It, of course, has nice days as well in Hilo.
The Hilo bay was shinning in the morning.

Hilo area is good to relax.......

Westside Story

On 5/25, 2010, my respectable friend drive to the western side of The Big Island with me!

It seems that the western side opens people's hearts!

She is very beautiful outside and inside.

Here is the Pololu Valley where it is a opposite side of the Wa'ipio Valley.

It takes about 1 and 1/2 hours to get here from Hilo by car.

Here is on the way of the Pololu Valley in the north Kohala.

The wind was so strong that made us laugh without any reasons.

The Kohala area has many ranch houses and families.

We saw many cattles.
I believe (hope) that they enjoy ocean views......

Here is again at the Pololu Valley on the mountain side.

People can walk down to the beach. If you are planning to visit here, please bring a good comfortable shoes!

Wow! I do not know about a god; but, I felt a god here!

There must be a creator who creates this nature?

Or, it may be creations make this nature?

We went to Havi areas where many art galleries and a Japanese artist museum breathe life into a historical place, which used to be a plantation area.

We also enjoy swimming at the beach in the Maunalani Hotel. It has nice sleeping chairs. We swam little but lay on the comfortable chairs for awhile.

Not only I enjoyed talking with her, I also enjoyed food in Waimea.

Waimea locates about 45 min. from Hilo by a car. This area is cool because its elevation of 1000 m.

We went to a nice cafe to have brunch.

We had a nice dinner at the Fujimama restaurant that was recommended by people's gossip.

It was expensive; but, I felt myself expensive as well.

I had a great day! Mahalo nui loa to her!

Tsunami 50th Memorial Day

On May 23rd, 1960, a hug tsunami destoried Hilo.
Today had a 5oth memorial day.

Nichiren group in Hilo celebrate this day at the park.

A beautiful park was enjoyed with many local people.

Many birds rest here, and a pond provides relaxing atmosphere.

More than 61 people died due to Tsunami.

We put more than 61 electric candles to pray and remind us about them.

I thought it would be rain; but the sky cleared of clouds.
We had a beautiful sunset and night.

Tsunami is just dynamic.

We live in a dynamic world.

In the same night, we were given delicious dishes at friend's house.

I took this photo because it was so neat.

Baking sweet potatos and Musubi with charcoal made special.

It reminded me beauty of Japanese tradition at home.

I really love to be at the friend's house.

She always cooks nicely. I am glad to know her!

FREE

I like FREEDOM.

Without possesion and conrolling, everything can fly higher.

Freedom is a way to respect others and organisms.

Freedom gives no limit.

If we are free, we live just what it is.

It starts to accepting all you see with beauty, harmony, and enegy. At the end, it starts to feel appreciation of life.

It is amazing that many different lives have been born from bare lands.

Life I see gives me smiles.

Sometimes, I felt my loved passed ones (the lady I used to take care, Shiro, my grandmother, and etc....) are within me.

Sometimes I do not see a borderline of present and passed lives.

I just wanted to share with you my deep thoughts today.

Graduation and Today

This view was taken from the apartment I am staying now.

Long time, I did not have time to enjoy the view from the room.

I came home late at night or did something busy outside.

My work at USDA made a period in my Hilo life.

My last day of work was on May 14, 2010 when the graduation of Hawai'i Community College was held.

I turly miss the people, co-workers and freinds at USDA.

This is one of leis I was given from a co-worker at USDA.

We had a potluck (people bring food to share with everyone.) pary at work to celebrate graduates (student workers at USDA) and my last day of work.

Finally, I graduated in Liberal Arts from Hawai'i Community College!!!!!!

The graduation ceremony was unforgettable. The speaker was touching, and Hawaiian chants, drams and blowing shell were great!!!

I am glad that I attended the ceremony!

I will give me a time to find who I am before my further education.

I hope to transfer to a university in the future.

After being busy at school and job, I just felt light, now.

In Hawai'i, giving leis is a way to celebrate or share aloha to people.

The leis I received from my co-workers and friends are my treasures.

I like being in school.

During my schooling for 3 years at Hawai'i Community College, I have experienced many things in the campus and out of the campus.

Now, I will have a new journey.

My loved friends and co-workers shared with me gifts and cards to help me walk on my new journey.

Deep kealoha (love) and mahalo (thanks) to all, of course to my father as well.

Having a time for oneself

Please have time for yourselves....

When I think of my life, I have not treated myself well.

How I can do for other if I cannot support myself.

I have neglected myself, and in return, I am having hard time to hear and listen to my heart.

I do not know what I want to do, what I want to study, and what I like and dislike.

I lost myself.

I use my time for outside not inside of myself.

How empty I am.

Now, it is time for me to have myself and notice who I really am.

I have to re-back myself to this world.

Please my friends.....have time and take a good care for yourselves.

Otherwise, you will lose yourselves like me and realize nothing left on you.
